Armour Bite Technology from UnderArmour.com Your jaw is the key… unlock the power you never knew was there. Zoom!® The Zoo AMD Diode Soft Tissue Layers
Soft Tissue Dental Lasers: Rarely in dentistry does a clinical tool emerge with so many possibilities for treatment. Soft tissue dental lasers are already known for precision cuts with gum tissue, eliminating bleeding at the site and reducing healing time. Dental diode lasers are also being used to help sterilize canals in endodontics, treat periodontal disease, and aid in tooth whitening. Back to topIsolite™ System
Silent Nite Snore Guard Silent Nite®, by Glidewell Dental Labs is an affordable, custom-made snore prevention device, which is flexible, thin and comfortable for the wearer. DIAGNOdent® Laser and Air Abrasion These tools allow our dentists to diagnose and treat dental problems more accurately than ever before, without the pain and discomfort traditionally associated with going to the dentist. With studies showing it to be more than 90 percent accurate, compared to 50 to 70 percent for traditional exams, the DIAGNOdent® laser allows us to detect cavities earlier and keep your teeth healthier. We can then treat these tiny cavities with a process called air abrasion, which eliminates the cavity with a stream of air and special powder. Much gentler than previous methods, patients rarely require anesthesia for either of these procedures. The DIAGNOdent® laser and air abrasion system are delicate enough to identify and treat much smaller areas of decay than previously thought possible, letting our dentists keep these small dental problems from becoming big ones. Back to topIntraoral Camera This new development allows both the dentist and the patient to see inside the mouth. A tiny camera takes detailed pictures from inside the patient's mouth, allowing for greater accuracy in the examination and giving patients a unique, clear view of their own dental health. The intraoral camera also uses specialized software that can assist in diagnoses and recommend treatment, in addition to providing the dentist and patient with a clear view of the teeth and gums. Digital X-Rays Dental radiographs, or X-rays, are an important part of a thorough dental examination. A full set of X-rays is usually required for patients who are new to a dental practice, or who need extensive treatment. Two to four follow-up or check-up X-rays called "bite-wings" are necessary every 6-18 months, depending on each individual patient’s needs. The most common questions concerning dental X-rays deal with: why they are needed, the amount of radiation exposure, the safety during pregnancy, and recently, the benefit of digital X-ray technology.
